Aisha Jamila Hinds was born in America and is well-known for her part in The Shield. Her range of talents has been proven in TV series including 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she first made an appearance as an actor in the year 2003. The first time she was noticed was in 2005 due to her role as Anna which was featured as part of Assault on Precinct 13 However, it was her performance of the feminist Fannie Louis Hamer, in the documentary film All the Way, which gave her the respect she earned as an actress. Her portrayal of Harriet Tubman on WGN America's period drama Underground was likewise highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show for a 3rd season.
