Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and found her passion to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after her first attempt. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas to become an athlete in professional competition. In the following year, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, defeating her longtime Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes in her respective events.
