Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix showed an early aptitude for sports when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic talent at that at the time. Within a short time after her first race, Felix finished 2nd in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. She then attended an institution called the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s, setting a new junior world record. She was the youngest to win the 200 meters in the world championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record time and time again in 2007 beating her the long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes at her particular events.
