Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going into the big
screen to play comedy like 'Elf 'Anchorman,' and Talladega Nights. In 1967, in
Irvine, California, Will Ferrell started his career in comedy when he was an
actor in the Los Angeles-based improv group the Groundlings. He was an Saturday
Night Live cast member for seven years , and he became an important comedic
attraction through off-color films, like Old School 2003 and Anchorman: The
Legend of Ron Burgundy 2004. Ferrell was also co-founder of the streaming video
site Funny or Die and enjoyed great success in voice acting in animated films
like Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell, born on July 16, 1967, in Irvine,
California. Will Ferrell was the eldest son of Righteous Brothers keyboardist
Lee Ferrell as well as teacher Kay Ferrell. He was according to his own
admission was not exactly the class clown when he was an University High School
student. He was quiet and stoic and he opted to be a football player, setting a
school record for the most field goals scored. Ferrell was a more relaxed
person in suburban homes, and he didn't display the same outlandish or humorous
expressions later in his career. In an interview with Esquire his mother stated
Ferrell was "very calm and even-tempered. He was very easygoing."
"You do you know those little Matchbox cars? Will be lining up his
Matchbox cars, by himself and be utterly content. If you were to ask him,
"Do you want to visit Disneyland today or line up your cars?' You'd have
to think about it. Ferrell was not a perfect straight man but that's not to
suggest he wasn't. A glimpse of Ferrell's comedic talent was displayed every
morning in high school when he disguised himself to announce what was happening
on the PA system. Ferrell earned his degree from the University of Southern
California, Los Angeles in 1986. He was a member of the Delta Tau fraternity,
and pursued a degree for sports journalism.
