Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, actor and musician, is well-known for his witty and sharp-edged roles in action movies. He has been featured in films that have grossed more than $2.5 billion USD. Walter Bruce Willis, a West German-born actor, was born in Idar–Obersteinin West Germany on March 19 1955, to Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey) who resided at a military base in the United States. His family moved to the U.S. shortly after he was born. He was raised in Penns Grove, New Jersey, where his mother worked in a bank, while his father was a welder as well as a factory worker. Willis developed an interest for drama in high school, and was allegedly "discovered" whilst working in a cafe located in New York City and then appeared in a couple of off-Broadway productions. He was bartending one night when a casting director noticed his charm and approached for his services as an bartender in a short film. After countless auditions, Willis had a brief appearance in films typically uncredited, before getting the role of private investigator "David Addison" alongside sultry Cybill Shepherd in the hit romantic comedy TV series Moonlighting (1985). His humorous and wisecracking P.I. Some believe it's an exercise to practice for Willis as McClane in Die Hard (1988), in which he was the sole defender of an international gang of thieves who were stealing from a Los Angeles skyscraper. In Die Hard 2 (1990) in which he reprised the role. The group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers is trying to return a corrupt South American general. They are located in Washington's Dulles International Airport. A sequel, Die Hart with Avengeance (1995), was a hit. It featured Samuel L. Jackson as an unrepentant Harlem shop owner who has to help McClane during a terrorist bombing spree that takes place during a hot New York day.
